Right so when you see (US version) next to a song it means it didn’t play on SkyAtlantic but it did on DirecTV.

Hi i’m really trying to find the music that was used to advertise the early june episode of Hit and Miss on Sky Atlantic, the lyrics were something like ‘you, you’re taking my religion’ would appreciate it massively if you could tell me!
I really tried! Listened to the youtube clip like 20 times, using different apps, looking up lyrics… found nothing unfortunately
And noticed Sky doesn’t know either… very annoying

Very nice of you! How did you find out about all of the tracks? You must have just known there were loads of us hankering for the music from the show; thank you. I particularly loved this beautiful folksy song from episode 4 where Mia is outside the cottage looking for her lover. You may have put up; I will have to shoot off to you tube now to investigate your track listings!!
I’ve always been a soundtrack loving girl myself and did a similar soundtrack song list with Jonas’s other series Prisoners’ Wives that aired earlier in the year =)
As for finding the tracks: it’s a mix of using an app on my phone and when it fails I simply google the lyrics lol. I’m still missing a couple of songs due to dialogue…

Hello I saw the first two episodes on a Virgin flight from Vancouver to London and really enjoyed the show. However, I’m trying to find out what the very first song and artist is that is played at the very start of the first episode and plays through the opening credits. I checked the spotify playlists posted here but could not hear or find it… To me it sounded very T-Rex-ish but modern at the same time and it sounded like there were male and female vocals… Just an excellent song that really sucked me right in. Would be very happy if anyone can help.

The first episode opening credits only contain the instrumental score , but I think you mean the opening credits of episode 2? : ‘Dirty Horse’ by Gram Rabbit. Let me know if it’s still not the song you’re looking for

Mia does the hit,gets in the car,does a touch up on her/his lipstick and looks into the rear-view mirror and rolls into the underground parking lot and THEN the song starts ( found the clip on DIRECTV) and it’s the first episode indeed…sounds like a woman singing and opening line goes ” I dont know which way you’re goin’/ i don’t even care/ I just need a new direction/ freedoms’ in the air ” T-Rexish-sexyish. Will have to listen again and again because like everyone else here ” it’s driving me NUTS!”
OMG This means the US soundtrack will be different to the UK one! *THUD* Ok found the clip on youtube and indeed while UK version is just the score you guys got a song! Ah Man lol

Joachim, i have had the same reaction to this song since I heard it a few minutes ago as the song for the Fruit of the Loom ladies’ underwear commercia that airs currentlyl. Yes, that is the song for that commercial. I thought it sounded like it was sung by Macy Gray. I’ve been googling madly since to find the song.Re. the show: I’ve never seen this show but now reading all this, now I want to see it.

Yeah we have to get to the bottom with this ! I can almost guarantee there will be a soundtrack stateside if the show becomes the roaring sucess that it deserves to be! (even though I’ve only seen two episodes)

In Episode 1 on direct-tv, what’s the song that goes”…no city lights are burning; the meadow is aglow with fireflies…” Far as I can tell this one doesn’t appear on your episode 1 list (US). Thanks!

A tip maybe is to use the ‘Shazam’ app on your smartphones and see if it recognizes it when you play it back… Will try to find another way to ask DirecTV meanwhile!
Have tweeted DirecTv for help but no answer yet…wondering if there’s a link somewhere to that promo? Or if the trailer has found its way on youtube? Lyric searches did give up nothing sadly so far.

Ok so emailed DirecTV and they listed all the songs that are already up here in the trailer songs section. The only male artist with acoustic guitar in the list is Dallas Green (City & Colour) with ‘Fragile Bird’. I don’t think it’s that song you guys are looking for BUT maybe have a listen and see if you can make out if it’s the same artist?
Im almost positive its not the same man. Ive tried Shazam but no luck. Its on the ad for the season finale on audience network.

The song you are looking for is called “Bridges” the band is Ridgeline. It came out a few years back, it may me hard to find a place to download it. I checked and Itunes no longer has it. Im sure with a little effort you can find it somewhere.

Opps, the actual singer is Mitch Curinga, for some reason my computer had saved the record labels name (Ridgeline) as the Artist. The song is named “Bridges” Album name is L’altro lato and Artist is Mitch Curinga , and you can buy still buy it on ITunes and Amazon. Sorry for the confusion.

I can’t find the song played during Mia’s shower scened in episode 1. It continues playing as she walks out into the night. LOVE IT and can’t find it.

Hi there, just enquiring about a song that plays during the first episode UK version. There are no vocals just instrumental and it starts at 21:35 minutes. The scene is where Mia stands in the mirror with a red dress and just prior to walking into the bar. I understand the lack of information and how vague that question is! Watched it on iview and Shazam wouldn’t recognise it. Thanks

I’ve asked quite a lot of times if there are plans for a Soundtrack release but sadly the answer is no. The songs are available to buy on iTunes etc but the score (instrumental music) isn’t.
Checked the scene on DVD. I think it’s a piece of the beautiful score written by Dickon Hinchliffe, that sadly isn’t available to buy

Hi John! I found most of the songs on iTunes, did buy them all separately as there is sadly not a soundtrack available. You can also try Spotify as numerous people made a playlist out of the song listings. Hope this helps
