Some might have been aware that Series 2 of The Field of Blood started production last month. As Jonas Armstrong is still filming All You Need is Kill, he’ll sadly not be able to take part in that second series.
That said will definitely keep watching, when it airs on the BBC as I really liked the storytelling and feisty characters!

Exciting new DVD release of The Field of Blood (BBC 2011) starring Jonas Armstrong, Jayd Johnson & Peter Capaldi. The boxset came out on Tuesday and with my birthday coming up, my mum very kindly gave it to me 
.
Belgian and Dutch fans: you can get it from the Fnac stores or Freerecordshop, Bol.com etc.. No DVD extras I’m afaraid ; but you can choose to switch off the subtitles, which I always find a plus point as I find them very annoying! 
If you haven’t seen the series yet, I can really recommend it, especially as it has that ‘Life on Mars’ /’ Ashes to Ashes’ feel to it.

The fabulous The Field of Blood is nominated by The Irish Film & Television Awards 2012 in the form of Best supporting actress Bronagh Gallagher (she played Paddy’s mum). Now I’m all for female nominations (eg against the snubbing of female actresses for the rising star award for BAFTA), but frankly if one can get nominated for appearing in The Field of Blood for 5 minutes why didn’t they nominate Dublin – born Jonas Armstrong who had over 1 hour screen time?! 
Very disappointing indeed!

As we all know 31 of December is always a bit special since not only do we celebrate New Year’s Eve, at 00. 01 am on January 1st we also wish Jonas Armstrong a very Happy Birthday
Time to take stock of 2011 & it has really been a very good year career wise! He’s never been as busy since 2009, with 2010 being a rather dull year.

Today I added the caps from The Field of Blood episode 2 to the gallery. used a new automatic screencap program for this which was great but it gave me something like over 7.000 caps ~_~ Uhm so truly had to pick the best ones and ended with 660 =) Much more manageable for this blog lol.
For easier browsing I ended up dividing the album up into 3 pages as the blog refused to load with all 660 on 1 page. Anyways hope you enjoy them…and in particular *cough* page 2 ;p

Added The Field of Blood page under TV Series where you’ll find all the info & links to online articles. I also started on the gallery and added all the caps for episode 1. I decided to clean the caps a bit with photoshop as the 80′s feel is ok on TV but the caps look a bit too dark in my opinion… Caps for episode 2 will follow soon.
